About us
Mediální studia / Media studies is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the users or their institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author (with proper referencing). This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
Based in the disciplines of media and communication studies, it focuses on analyses of media texts, media cultures, media professionals’ practices, and media audiences’ behavior. We especially support the emphasis on the dynamics of local and global knowledge of media and their mutual connections.
The journal is published by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
